one mass, which ended up being four, then I found another one, which
ended up being a cluster of three. I was seen by two specialists, they
wanted to try to find out if the lumps were cancerous. Pregnancy
hormones make cancer cells grow faster =[
My 2nd ultrasound was done in a private office, the Dr asked if I had
time to do a biopsy. I had the time and the nurse explained in detail
what the biopsy entailed. Two numbing shots on each side, another shot
to decrease bleeding, a small "grain of rice" sized incision, a vacuum
machine to suck out tissue on one side, a turkey baster looking tool
used on the other then a mammogram at the end.
It was all painless, I did get nervous when the second cut was made. I
felt my blood roll down my side towards my back. It was really warm
and had an eerie feeling. The doctor and nurse talked to me the whole time,
explained what they were doing, encouraged me that I was doing good.
They worked fast without any complications!
After I had my first mammogram. Those are not fun and pretty painful.
When I was all finished I was bandaged up, nurse Melissa handed me a
orange rose, and sent me home. two hours at the doctor-Boo. At least
they were very pleasant and kept me in the loop as everything was
going on.
Now I have to rest and can't lift anything heavy. James took the day
off to help me. Steph brought me sushi and a chocolate chip cookie. I
feel so loved, and some throbbing pain.
