If you haven't seen Sora in a while, I suggest you make a date! Shes the cutest shes ever been, and real easy to entertain. She has a couple new baby toys which first frustrated her because she didn't know what to do with them and that they wouldn't go in her mouth. A week of frustration and enjoyment, they keep her busy for a lengthy amount of time which makes mama happy!

She like to watch me eat, her eyes dart between my food and my mouth. The doctor said to wait until 6 months to start solids but if she looks ready we can start on our own. We'll see, I know James and I are impatient so we'll probably give her something sooner....lol...since shes our child and all

When she eats now she gets easily distracted! She'll stop eating, look at me, smile for a minute. It feels like we are having a conversation. Other times her arm will be flaring around and she catch it out of the corner of her eye, stop eating and hypnotize herself with her fingers. Or she'll wave her arm in front of my face showing off her magical powers..lololol

She used to be a awesome sleeper, she'll wake up once in the night now to eat then sleep til 6 for more food for a diaper change and if I'm lucky she'll either go back to sleep til 8 or she'll stay up til 10am then take a nap. Honestly being woken up twice and sleeping til 8am leaves me well rested and less cranky...and it feels like a special gift to sleep in because I don't get to at all.

We visited Grandma this week, Sora and her have the same birthmark in the same spot and same coloring. Strange huh!

July

The grunting has ceased!! Sora is now making super cute squeals of delights & sticking her toes in her mouth and munching on them! Im so relieved the grunting has stopped. I took her in to the doctors because the advice nurse said she might have a respiratory problem, she also had alot of drooling. The doctor said she might be teething or she could have just learned a new noise.

She weighs 15lbs 11oz and is strong as a 6 month old. Meaning her head control. The other day she was in her bouncer trying to squirm her way down so I lifted her back up, well she kept her elbows bent and leaned forward. I left the room and when I came back she was sitting up right! I told James to get out of bed and to check her out. We were pretty proud of her and watched from a distance not to distract her. We went back into our room and started talking about our chores and we hear her squeal. I looked out and saw baby toes in the air! She fell out. Lol. Oops :). Guess we need to start strapping her in now or get her a helmet.

She had two shots today at the doctors. Daddy had to hold her, the nurse was really quick. The first shot Sora pouted, it took a while to register that it hurt and by the second one she realized the pain and cried. Mommy was all ready to hold her, I had her pacifier ready to go but then she stopped crying. We were expecting a tear storm but got a light drizzle instead.

We were hoping she could start eating real food, but the office likes to wait til 6 months to start solids.

:(

Sorry I haven't posted anything in a while, we've been really busy going all over the place. Sora is doing great, she's sitting up unassisted if you prop her up, looks over in the direction of the person talking even if they are across the room. We watched alot of the World Cup games together :) She's been drooling a lot. James thinks a tooth maybe coming in. I just think its drool.

She's been driving me insane....she's been making a grunting noise which starts in the morning and she'll make it every waking moment of the day. I can stand if for a few hours but without relief...I want to pull my hair out. I think its worst then the sound of her crying. At least when she cries she wants something....this grunting noise doesn't have a purpose other then to give me anxiety....anyhoot, I hope its just a phase its rough :(
