Leche!
This post is dedicated to LECHE!
Taking care of our dog has been a real challenge for me. Giving him a bath 8 months pregnant was hard. My family also decided to give him away without telling me about it. (He went to our grandmas house) he was too much for her so he came back. OMG I was super pissed about that , I actually found out on facebook via my sister (hello! help ME out by taking care of the dog, don't just give him away).
Since we are adjusting to the baby, I've had more time to spend with him recently. He has been going berserk in the back yard barking at anything that moves...so I have a goal for the next two weeks: take him to the park let him run around to get his energy out...he also is getting a second walk in the evening. This is my 'dog whisperer' experiment.
I just think he has all kinds of pent up energy and barking was his way of releasing it.

note the green paws! a nice romp in the morning grass!

Sora is continuing on her teething process. I guess its not so bad. I tried some teething 'tablets' which were pills that are supposed to instantly dissolve...I can't tell if they worked...sometimes she would spit it up later and I know it was the pill because she's been keeping her food down. Actually... I'm happy about the food staying down, my laundry load has gone down alot! She's also nursing less.
She loves fingers! Laughs at funny faces (that one is my fav) she still laughs like a old man! She's been crying around familiar faces. I think she thinks I disappear even when Im holding her. She's also reaching out for a toy or for me to pick her up. She doesn't care about TV anymore she rather have me entertain her.
She is interested in watching people. Once I was holding her and Dad was on the other side of me, he started talking to someone and she leaned over to his voice to see him. I was impressed.
She like grabbing my face, my lips or nose....oooo also, when on her tummy she can move herself in a complete circle.
In the mornings she wakes up babbling to herself. I can hear it but I wont get up until I hear her fart....lol. I don't get us out of bed until shes done her "morning business #1" which happens by 8m "#2" happens after 10am...its after the second one I change her out of her PJs
When shes introduced to new people they all say how happy she is :) I hope she wont be shy when she grows up.
For her 5th month celebration we took her to get her ears pierced. DAD wanted them pierced. I wasn't so into the idea of it only because I didn't want to hear her scream/cry/be unhappy. But the more I thought about it, and Dad agreed to hold her while I stood outside looking in from the window I would agree.. lol.. jk I didnt stand outside...I did try to take a video...but I didnt push "play"
#$K^j!!

Mini Vacation- Pine Mountain Lake
Our friends rented a house in a vacation home/gated community, driving up to the house mama & baby deer darted around in the bushes. After settling in, we drove to the nearest grocery to buy stuff for dinner. We made spaghetti with meat balls, garlic bread and salad. Everyone turned in early
5am the guys woke up, were not all trying to be quiet while getting ready....jerks. Sora started waking up, the batteries died in her swing which meant I had to manually push her back to sleep. Oh and they left a nice mess of broken eggs, opened packets of oatmeal in the kitchen for us to clean up. After cleaning up the mess we made pancakes, eggs and bacon for breakfast. After breakfast we changed, made lunch, packed up and headed to the lake.
We spent a few relaxing hours by the lake. It was so quiet and peaceful, we were detached from the internet, text messages and cell phone reception. At first not having cell service sucked, but then no one calls or texts me anyways (besides James) so I got over it quickly. But later I was playing with Sora and a spider ran next to us which made me think "crap, if something happens to her...where is the nearest hospital...I can't call out" Turns out there was a house phone and WI-FI. The lake water was warm, the beach we were at was small and had a few boats tied up to the shore. I dipped Soras toes in the water, she didn't seem to care. The cute H&M flower hat I bought her fits her tight now :(
After the lake, Sora and I took a nap for a few hours. I expected the guys to be back at 6pm or 7pm. They were supposed to grill dinner, they were coming back later then expected! Adele and Ana went to the store to buy dinner, when they came back we started prepping. About 9 pm the guys walk in the door. We told them they couldn't take showers they needed to sit down to eat since dinner finished right when they walked in.
We played a drinking game til 2am. The next morning we packed up, headed into town for coffee, lunch and a browse into the "oldest saloon in America".
The drive back home was a little easier, the guys were supposed to drive with the girls....James didn't look too cool with that...Ana said if we drive with them back then the girls get a "special day" with out the kids.
I'm looking forward to this Thursday!!
