This afternoon I took Sora to the neighborhood park, and ended up chatting with a Lady from Boise. She had three kids, 2 girls one boy Sora's age. Because her girls were sooo close in age, I asked how her experience was for having them back to back. She actually made me feel better.
I have been feeling kinda sad because I don't want Sora to be jealous of the new baby, or feel that I dont love her as much, or she doesn't have my full attention....etc.
Mrs Boise said she's happy her kids are close in age, that now they always have someone to play with. Hearing that from another mom who recently went through those growing pains let me let go of some of the worries I have.
In other news, James's interviews have been going really well. Berkeley and Folsom are moving forward with his hiring process. We'll have to go to Folsom over the next two weeks for testing and a background check. The hiring person said he is aiming for a July 1st hire date, which is the day San Jose with lay him off.
Moving over there will be nice, I'll get to be around family and have people to spend the holidays with, which will be really nice because holidays alone are kinda sad and lonely. If I didn't have a baby, I wouldn't care
*sigh* we just have so much going on, we don't get any time for ourselves or we can't take a trip because stuff pops up all the time. Even when James had actual vacation time, 'we' didn't do anything together.
My birthday is next Friday, we have a sitter, and we are going to a French place (its not REAL French food) having dinner and hopefully the most amazing apple pie as a dessert :)
The other night I wanted a apple pie from there....at 9:30 at night, didn't get it, but he bought me 2 for $1 McDonald's apple pies! Hey it worked for me :) This babe likes cinnamon!
So far, the baby likes beans & cinnamon (not together gross!) lol

14 month baby!
Yesterday Sora and I were watching "Eat, Prey, Love" she turned around and said 'milk' to me AWWWW! Shes doing all kinds of cute thing lately, batting her eyelashes, making a sour/shutter face on command, KISSES! and HUGS! she gives great strong hugs! and open-mouth drooly kisses, its great! She'll lean in with her mouth open to your cheek, or she HAS to kiss your lips. She feeds herself breakfast in the mornings, and isn't really eating baby food outta the jar. I think she thinks shes too grown up! She also has a big girl dinner of whatever we are eating :)
Last night we went to a BBQ and she ate a whole hot dog plus other meat....and had bad gas :( her daddy did too...*sigh* but not me. lol. Baby #2 does not like RANCH DRESSING! or basil or onions! Sora is quite the social butterfly. She goes up to everyone, smiles, tries to talk to them, she loooooves people. It just makes me really happy....cuz now I don't have to watch over her like a hawk, she can run around and play by herself... oh and shes really good at 'sharing' with babies and adults... like her food or water bottle haha.
I guess with the 'good' comes the 'bad' growing pains.... like Sora's temperamental attitude when shes tired and you take her away from something she wants to be doing. She throws herself backwards and tries to bang her head... it crappy. She hasn't done it in front of anyone but us, and we typically take her home when she starts to get cranky.

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!
I took Sora to see my Grandmother in Carmel for mothers day. Shes in a care facility with 24 hour support, its not a hospital so its not sad to see her there. I've been trying to go for weeks now, but something always comes up so our visit gets pushed back. I just decided to go without James since he'd be sleeping. My grandma was super happy and excited when I called her. She wanted to see Sora really bad. I packed us all up, bought some white roses and drove down to see her. Carmel is really really beautiful. There was a strong wind and it looked like a international kite competition was going on, there were tents with different country flags. It was close to the freeway, I got excited to show Sora, I pretended she could look and understand me. lol. One kite was a large salamander, another a black kitty walking in the air.
I found her place easy, but not her room, lol. It was lunchtime for her but she was too interested in Sora then eating. She entertained grandma for 2 hours, yelling, running, laughing, playing with the neighbors kids. Grandma fed her almost a whole slice of carrot cake. Sora started getting cranky so we said our goodbyes and left. I think Grandma almost started to cry. I felt bad, Im going to try to see her once a month before the new baby comes
Sora slept the whole was home, very nice for me!
James woke up, ordered takeout sushi, had dinner and went to work.

Its quiet time right now aka the hurricane that destroys our family room every day is resting up for round two. The only thing I can hear is the clicking of our kitchen clock and its annoying me! Last night I had to force myself to sleep. Anytime a thought popped into my head it gave me a even bigger headache then what I already had. It actually HURT to THINK.
Pregnant and running around after Sora is sooo exhausting!! She loves to climb all over me and kick my stomach which is unpleasant, Im trying to have all the patience in the world for her but its difficult. My hips start aching around noon from all the getting up getting down I do.
Today before her bath, I undressed her and she ran away from me, climbed into her toy car, and peed on it, she then noticed the peed, got out of the car, and tried to start playing in the water, I had to run across the room to stop her before her hand got in the water (ps I also had to take her car to the car wash....its outside drying)
We went to a new place called "Little Gym" its just as it sounds...a gym for little people. I enjoyed the first 30 minutes. We sang a "Hello" song with bells, made noises with sticks, climbed on mats, did somersaults, had balloon time, popped bubbles (made by a bubble gun...totally investing in one this summer). The class was an hour, and was made up of mostly girls...they were a few months older then her, but she could totally keep up with them. It was pretty awesome to watch. Its kinda pricey $94 a month and you can go once a week... I think you should be able to go twice...or every day... lol. She was still pretty hyper when we came home, but it was very nice to see her with other babies.
On to other baby news with the soon to be newest member of our family. New baby is still making it difficult for me to eat. I actually hate eating. I've been drinking lots of mint tea, and throwing down Payday candy bars (the salt and the peanuts) I feel bloated, Caesar salads are the only think I can really eat and enjoy if its made the way I like it, which is: Roman lettuce, shaved Parmesan cheese (not shredded! not bits that look like they came from a pizza delivery!), crunchy croutons!!! Kinda simple huh??? too bad most places eff it up! Pizza my hear around the corner actually comes thru and that my friend makes me happy, even thought I had burger king for lunch because I needed to eat after class but really wanted a salad.
